Hawthorne (SLC) Ward

Built in 1925, the Hawthorne Ward was a later iteration of the twins plan--the chapel on one side, the cultural hall on the other, and then classrooms connecting the two.

This building is located near the southern end of Salt Lake City.

It still looks in good condition. It has leaded windows at the front of the chapel and main entrance, and nice details around the windows and gables.




It's still used as a meetinghouse--interior pictures will be coming soon.

    More info on the meetinghouse turned American Heritage School in Salt Lake City. https://www.deseret.com/2022/11/18/23466809/american-heritage-school-dedicated-by-elder-rasband-in-salt-lake-city it got dedicated by Elder Rasband.
